The Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012 have set up a short film competition, inspired by Glasgow's Coat of Arms, and your movie could be shown during Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012!
There are infact four filmmaking competitions, all for under 18s in the run up to Glasgow Youth Film Festival 2012 - and helpfully there are four different deadlines. A great chance to see your film on the big screen, be featured on their website, win special prizes and get recognised for your hard work at a special awards ceremony during the festival.
The themes for the competitions are based on the legendary symbols in the Glasgow Coat of Arms and its famous traditional rhyme
The winning films will be shown ahead of appropriate features in the cinema. You and your family will receive complimentary tickets to the screening. There will be an awards ceremony and screening during GYFF12 where winners and runners up will be awarded special prizes and certificates.
Plus, for under 12s: Some DVDs of films inspired by our love of birds!
And, for 12-year-olds and over: 4 complimentary cinema tickets
The first competition theme is Bird – the deadline is Monday 4 July 2011.
