There are many computer-based tools that are available to assist with using moving image in the classroom. In this section we will explain some of the types of tools available. Some of the tools are programs you can download, while others are 'Web 2.0' applications.
'Web 2.0' is the stage of the internet that has developed where the audience is no longer passive and just reading. Now we can interact with websites, we become the producers. The areas of Web 2.0 that might be of particular interest in education are blogs, wikis, podcasts and social tagging.
The term Web 2.0 is pronounced "web two point oh"
