Film-making involves five main stages:
development
Before pre-production can commence, you will need a script, story or idea, and have established the key players in your team.
pre-production
Involves:
- Planning
- Getting organised
- Finding funds, resources, locations, props, costumes etc.
- Sorting your cast and crew
- Anything else you need before the camera rolls.
production
Is the: staging the action, filming it, drawing the animation, recording the sound etc etc.

post-production
Happens after the film has been shot and includes :
- Editing
- Adding music and sound effects
- Titles credits etc.

And, after it's finished, you'll want to make sure it gets seen.
